How to integrate with NetSuite?

NetSuite integration begins with understanding the three central technologies that NetSuite uses-NetSuite Application Server, NetSuite Commerce Cloud. . These technologies form a foundation from which you can build your integration. At the end of this article, we’ll go over how to create an integration with each platform by way of REST APIs.

The process of netsuite integration is as follows:

1. Decide on the type of integration that you want: such as double clicking the web browser, or sending it to a specific URL.

2. Choose which functions to be integrated into your application, and where they should be placed. If you choose Integration with URLs, for example, then specify w

Here in your app you'll place those features and how they will appear in the user interface.

3. Create your custom code, using the same REST APIs that netsuite uses on its own platform.

4. Test your integration

Application Server

NetSuite Application Server (NAS) is a Java-based application server that NetSuite uses to support its core business applications. The main purpose of this application is to provide a platform for those apps (such as sales, CRM, and warehouse management), and integrate them with the rest of NetSuite’s platform features (such as ecommerce or accounting). Although the Application Server is an integral part of NetSuite, it is fairly easy to integrate - even for beginning developers. The Application Server API is REST based and uses HTTP. This makes it easy for developers to create integration with the Application Server, because their integrations will share a lot of similarities with the ones that NetSuite has already created (we’ll go over Core Integration in a moment).
